Gasing Oh Gasing

I know I'm a bit slow about this, but I still want to keh poh after I read the advertisement in Sin Chew Jit Poh dated 11/3/2012, page 17.

As clearly seen on the above right corner, this ad was by Kementerian Kerja Raya Malaysia and Cawangan Kejuruteraan Cerun JKR Malaysia, teaching the people how to identify and prevent a land slide. Isn't this funny as this came out after the Bukit Gasing Support Day event on 4/3/2012 and the residents at Bukit Gasing lost their appeal case on the same day that KL's Mayor reported to be miffed.

When you have construction or earthwork or any project at slope area, it is the Developer responsibility to place slope protection to PREVENT landslide and they also to be taking FULL responsibility to any landslide occurred. NOT THE RESIDENT.

The above 2 pictures were borrowed from facebook album by Save Bukit Gasing and I must say thank you. I want to ask the developer, just to cover the slope with the blue thing, do you think it really can prevent landslide?? If you answer is yes, then I must question your professionalism in civil engineering.

Bukit Gasing is the last green lung in Klang Valley, for someone that spend every weekend hiking in Bukit Gasing over the years, I only see the lost of humanity for money that kills our green lung day by day. They choose to sacrifice something priceless just for a few bungalow lots selling to someone rich that probably owned too many bungalows and just treat an extra 1 lot as a toy.

I believe that the residents in Bukit Gasing and the non-residents but going to Bukit Gasing for a hike either weekly or every other day or once in a while, age ranging from 2 to 80 years old, their heart must be dropping with tears and blood, hearing the roars of the crane, excavator and hacker hacking the hard rock when you were hiking inside the jungle.

SAVE BUKIT GASING, SAVE OUR NATURE, SAVE OUR GREEN LUNG!!!!
